Our Build On Your Lot Process
Whether you already own land and want to build on your lot or are looking for a homesite to fit your needs, we are ready to begin your custom homebuilding experience today. Our in-house experts can help you every step of the way, with support and clear communication throughout the process to ensure your satisfaction.
If you have your own lot on which you’d like to build, we’re happy to work with you to review the site and determine what may need to be done to build safely. Our process includes site and plan reviews to make sure the home you want to build can be accommodated by the lot’s terrain and any local ordinance requirements.
If you don’t have a specific lot already in mind, we also have a number of available homesites in existing communities, with lots ranging from approximately half an acre to 5.5 acres. These lots are already approved for building, which helps move the process along more quickly.
With the homesite chosen, you will then work with our in-house architectural and interior design teams to help you create the home of your dreams. If you have a floor plan in mind already, our architect can go over the plan and make any structural changes necessary and other recommendations to make your vision a reality.
However, we also have a number of thoughtfully designed floor plans available, ranging from traditional to modern. You can still make some changes to these floor plans to ensure the home fits your taste and lifestyle. Our experienced interior design team can help you fine tune your finishing choices or even guide you if the many choices become overwhelming.
All of our experts are here to understand your vision and help make it a reality, while staying true to your budget. They may also be able to make recommendations for details you might not be aware of, further enhancing your new home’s style and comfort.
Once the decisions are made and contracts signed, the site preparation begins with clearing the land, levelling it, and any other work that needs to be done before laying the foundation. Once the foundation is laid, framing can begin and your house begins to take shape.
Once construction is completed, there will be inspections to make sure everything is up to code and then it will be time for your final walkthrough. Once you’re satisfied, it’s time for the final closing and then the home is yours!
